The remodeling industry is unique in that it is mostly made up of small businesses, and only 10%-12% of companies earn more than $3 million. The companies named in the Top 100 earn more than $10 million, which is truly amazing considering 70% of firms earn less than a million dollars. The Top 100 represent the top 2% of the industry as a whole. The complete list shines a light on firms earning more than $100,000 – a self defining minimum entrance level – and celebrates those who earn in the top third of the industry.

It’s not all about the money, though. While success on the list of the Top 100 is defined by remodeling revenues, Remodeling Magazine considers many facets of the services provided when compiling the list. Customer reviews, quality of craftsmanship, and current economic factors all play into the magazine’s ranking system.
